Growing in knowledge, faith, and purpose.
Preparing for a planned fall 2027 opening.
At Gathering House Christian Academy, we believe education should help children grow in both knowledge and wisdom. We want students to become confident readers, thoughtful problem solvers, clear communicators, and curious learners who recognize God’s hand in the world around them.
Our academic program is being developed to bring purposeful instruction together with an everyday faith in Jesus. Through meaningful learning, caring relationships, and consistent encouragement, we want children to build strong foundations for the years ahead.
Reading opens the door to learning. Our approach will emphasize phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and communication. We want children to understand what they read, express their ideas clearly, and discover the joy of a good book.
Students need to understand how numbers work and feel confident using them. Our approach will combine clear instruction, meaningful practice, and practical problem solving to build number sense, accuracy, and mathematical reasoning.
God’s creation gives children so much to explore. Through observation, questions, and practical activities, students will investigate the natural world and learn to think carefully about what they discover. We want curiosity to lead to understanding and wonder.
Learning about the past helps children better understand the world they live in. Students will explore people, places, cultures, and important events while developing an understanding of community, responsibility, and how their choices affect others.
We want children to know Jesus and understand the story of Scripture. Our vision includes Bible learning, prayer, worship, and opportunities to recognize and respond to the Holy Spirit. Faith will shape how we learn, treat one another, and serve.
Children learn through creating, moving, and trying new things. As our program develops, we are exploring opportunities in art, music, physical education, and other enrichment experiences that help students discover their interests and develop their gifts.
Children grow when they feel known, receive clear instruction, and have opportunities to practice. Our approach will emphasize consistent classroom routines, thoughtful teaching, and encouragement that helps students work through challenges and recognize their progress.
We also believe learning grows through partnership with home. We want families to understand what their children are learning and feel comfortable asking questions. Curriculum selections and details about our academic program will be shared as planning is finalized.
We are gathering interest from families as we develop our opening grades and academic program. Tell us the grades your children would enter in fall 2027 and what matters most to you in a school.
Joining the interest list will keep you connected as we announce program details, information meetings, and admissions next steps.
